Religious organizations have always depended on worshipers for physical and fiscal sustenance.
There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, especially since the money is usually earmarked mostly for ‘good works’.
Sometimes, however, this drive for private funds gets a bit irritating. Now, I came across a new trend in some Churches, which have begun to deploy ATMs within their premises and accept credit card payments for donations.
The ultimate strategy right now appears to be online requests for donations. Perhaps, the current US presidential race has set the trend of online cash receipts possibilities for religious organizations to copy?
Or, actually, could it be the other way around?
